(Name) tightened her coat around her, in an attempt to conserve all the heat she had. Was it even possible to be this cold in October? The streets were quiet, silence spread round the empty road as her heels echoed. The moon gleamed down at her casting a light down on the streets below so that it wasn’t entirely pitch black.
In the back of her mind she thought she heard footsteps behind her. She spun around to see who it was. No one. No one was there.. was she imagining things? Her pace fastened as she heard the footsteps accelerate behind her.
What’s worse was that in this kind of situation she would have laughed at the clichéd protagonist falling over but as she hit the ground, she tried to scream but with no avail, the darkness surrounded her.
A clash of thunder awoke the young girl from her previous slumber. She shot up feeling a wave of dizziness flush down her system. She looked around the large, dark room not knowing where she was. She was currently sitting on a soft king size bed. She felt oddly exposed only to realise seconds later that she was wearing a white dress shirt… That didn’t belong to her. She got up from the bed and chose to investigate the house. It was almost pitch black if it weren’t for the moon light that streamed through the windows.
“You’re awake” a deep voice rang through the obscure corridor making her jump. She spun around to face the man who was talking. She couldn’t see him properly because he was so hidden in the shadows.
“How d-did I get h-here?” she stammered attempting to be brave.
“You passed out on the streets. I couldn’t just leave you there.” he had moved into the light enough for her to make out his features. His steel grey eyes met her (e/c) ones. He walked towards her in small steps. She backed away from him, tripping over her own feet. She gasped as she felt herself falling to the floor. She was caught by a pair of strong arms that held her in place. A shiver crawled up her spine feeling his abnormally cold hands pressed against her frame.
“You probably hit your head pretty badly, tsk you’re so careless” He muttered. Before (Name) could protest the floor disappeared beneath her as she was picked up. Dainty arms swung themselves around his neck in the hopes of feeling slightly more stable.
“I didn’t even catch your name” she looked up to the man carrying her.
“Levi” he muttered
“(Name)” she smiled up at him.
She was gently placed onto the bed again.
“t-thank you, Levi” she blushed
A stunned noise was elicited from his lips as he smacked a hand over his mouth. (Name) looked at him perplexedly. She reached for his wrist gently tugging at his sleeve of his shirt. He flinched before rushing towards the door.
“w-what’s wrong” she stuttered slightly scared.
“I can’t hold this for much longer” he panted leaning against the door frame. That’s when he felt a hand was placed between his shoulder blades
“Let me help you” she smiled.
He let his hand drop from his mouth which was slightly agape from his gasps. Her (e/c) widened at the sight of his fangs.
“A monster.” He turned away from her about to walk away when he was pulled back into a hug
“You are not a monster, you helped me when I could've been left alone” she held him close to her. His arms slowly found their way around her waist embracing her.
She was thrown onto a bed in a rough manner before she spun to meet the grey orbs of Levi.
“It’ll hurt” concerned eyes met her own.
She nodded and he moved the collar of the shirt aside, exposing her jugular.
His dark pupils had turned into slits before he punctured the skin of (Name)’s neck. She gripped onto his shirt as his sharp canines sunk into her neck. She felt the warm liquid slide down her neck as it dripped from its wound. The pain soon subsided after and her hands unclenched themselves and held him close to her. She felt a wave of dizziness wash over her as she attempted to push him away a little, telling him to stop. Levi pulled away from her neck panting into her shoulder before licking the mark he had made.
Levi wrapped his muscular arms around her torso as she buried her face in what warmth he had.
“Stay with me, (Name)” he whispered into her (h/c) hair
“I could think of nothing better”
